The Orange Crown
This was the first time I ever caught a glimpse of the orange on the top of this warbler from which it gets its name. This bird does not show it often but when its head was wet, you could see it. If you enlarge this and look at the top of the head, you can barely see a tiny bit of orange.
Orange-crowned Warbler (Oreothlypis celata) UPDATE: Found out this was not an orange-crowned but a Nashville warbler and a rare sighting to have one of those in the area in the dead of winter.
