Immature Male Blue Dasher
This dragonfly at the rookery had me confused. It was small and had the color and markings of a female blue dasher. But it had male claspers and male secondary genitalia. I found out that the young males have the female coloring and only as they mature more do they turn the deep blue with aquamarine eyes. So this was my first juvenile male of this species.
