Swamp Sparrow
This is a lifer for me. Swamp sparrows hang out in wet marshy areas, hence their name. This one teased me a long time staying partially concealed in the underbrush by a pier. It finally hopped up on a low branch and posed briefly in the sunlight. Beautiful sparrow with bright rust colors on the wings and a golden brown flush of color on its sides. One of our winter visitors here and possibly the most elusive. Happy to finally see one.
