The Kiss

Male Cardinals are very nurturing. This one is courting his mate and strengthening their bond by tenderly feeding her a seed. When the babies leave the nest, it is the father who feeds them and watches over them until they can fend for themselves. The female has nothing more to do with them but prepares for the next brood.
