Beautiful Male Cooper's Hawk
This hawk was smaller than the adult female I've seen before so I knew it was a male. The orange eyes tell you it is a fully mature hawk. This weekend it landed in my crepe myrtles just long enough for me to get a couple of shots then it was gone. It's a rare treat when one of these show up and I'm so glad I looked at the right moment.
