Bush Cicada View 1
This was a new species for me. One of the largest and most beautifully marked cicadas. They live only in tall grass prairie and grassland ecosystems so are disappearing in urban areas. I found this one in Burleson on a Weeping Willow tree in a neighborhood near a large area of land left native with a few cows on it. Which explains the presence of this cicada. They dine on vascular plants and Willows fall into that group.
