I looked out my window and saw a very strange something. Had to go look closely to even be sure it was alive. A very flat caterpillar that blended in with the brick. It was quite large and took up the entire vertical area of the brick. Took me awhile to id it and turns out it normally is on the tree trunk of oaks where it blends in even better. I have a live oak overhead of this wall. This is a new species, the moth is spectacular & it looked close to being ready to cocoon so I brought it inside in my butterfly habitat. I provided it with live oak and red oak leaves. Used a piece of paper for collection due to fear of those fuzzy legs stinging but turns out they don't sting.
