She is Free!
We released her at 11am this morning. The plan of carefully transferring her from cage to milkweed flower did not work, once she was in free air, she flew, into my crepe myrtle tree which made a nice background of pink blossoms and blue sky. Due to thick black veins rather than thin, we have a girl!
This was my first monarch release.
