They are pretty little things but they are not good for bees. The female bee fly waits outside a bee burrow and when the female bee goes out to get pollen, the bee fly ejects an egg into the tunnel where it will get sealed up with the bee larvae soon. Then the bee fly larvae feeds on the bee larvae.
