Hoverfly Larvae part 2 of 3 of the milkweed story
The next day I was resigned to having to remove the aphids by hand. But when I looked at them again, someone new had shown up. Several of these hoverfly larvae were eating the aphids as fast as they could. I researched and found that hoverflies are attracted to milkweed because those aphids show up there and the hoverfly larvae love to eat the aphids. Within 2 days there was not one aphid to be found.
