Well, obviously, here you have both the male and the female of this damselfly species. Damselflies are very small but the males bright blue color caught my eye. I am amazed at how many different species of dragonfly and damselfly I have been finding. Researched and found that during mating, the male attaches the end of its tail just behind the females head and they spend some intimate time just being together, flying around. If she decides he is acceptable, then she bends her tail up to where you see it attached here and that is where the exchange takes place. Sooo, as you can see, very consensual here.
