It's A Beauty & A Pest
These are very common but somehow this is my first one and don't have the moth yet. They are most often found in large white webs that cover tree foliage and look terrible. However, they don't actually harm the trees because this happens when the tree is about to drop their leaves anyway. This one was by itself on a leaf of a plant close to the ground so is probably ready to pupate. I thought it was quite beautiful. Fuzzy but does not sting.
