Native Blackland Prairie Preservation
This is where I have been taking my flycatcher photos and many wildflower and insect photos I have not yet processed and shared. There has been an ongoing battle between The Arboretum and naturalists due to the former wanting to turn this preservation into paved parking at Winfrey point. For now, the preservationists have won but that battle is not over. I have never seen so many species of plants, birds and insects in one fairly small place before. I see something new every single time I go. Just thought I would share a couple of landscape photos so you understand the vivid colors blurred in the background of some of my flycatcher photos. It is truly beautiful. This is part of Winfrey Point. See Downtown Dallas in the background?
