A new wildflower for me with the added bonus of a new species of midge on the leaf. This flower has a cool way of repopulating itself. The seed pod is shaped like a stork's bill and when ripe, it bursts open using a spring mechanism powered by shape changes as the fruits dry. The seeds are spiral shaped and unwind with humidity changes which leads to self burial in the ground.
