Cardinals
Read MorePossibly Leucistic Cardinal
I have a lot of cardinals at my home that come and go. Lots of adults and juveniles. This is the most unusual one I've seen. It was only here one day and this was the best shot I got of it. I'm not sure if it is an adult or a juvenile. The beak is fully adult colored and the black face patch is adult too. Whether adult or juvenile, the patches of very light grey/white are very unusual. It may be leucistic. The definition of leucism is: A partial loss of pigmentation in a human or other animal, resulting in white, pale, or patchy coloration of the skin, hair, fur, or feathers but not the eyes. Very cool.
