Scissortails Are Back!
The scissortails are returning as Spring wildflowers are popping up all over. They come to North Texas to raise their babies. The abundance of wildflowers bring tons of insects to feed to hungry babies. This one was perched in a tree not yet budded out. The long tail indicates a male. I love that delicate apricot color under the wings.
