Still Hanging Around

On week 9 of the owls I was surprised again to find Mama & Junior still in the same area. I'm used to barred owls that leave the area once the young have fledged. I did not see Dad this time. Mama seemed to be sound asleep but Junior spotted me immediately. If you notice his talons are up & he had released his grip on the branch. I didn't want to flush him or have him disturb Mama so I only took one shot and left that area. What a thrill to have been able to watch them this season.
