Neighborhood Watch

This time of year the purple martins are enjoying large social gatherings. They winter in the Amazon basin and migrate here to meet and raise kids. When the kids fledge, the adults and young gather in large groups to socialize and eventually all migrate away together. Makes for quite a sight. They were all up and down the telephone wires on this morning. Chattering up a storm and watching me too.
