I have a fricking owl in my new owl house! Introducing Frick. If Frick gets a mate it will be Frick & Frack. For now I'll assume Frick is male until I know otherwise. I've had an owl house in the back for a few years but squirrels use it, I have a female squirrel with babies in it right now. So with help, I got this new house put up in my front yard oak tree. Deluxe with inside steps and outside natural perch. And 5 weeks, 3 days later, I have an owl! Fingers crossed for a family of owls in this box soon. I can see a bit of blood on the beak so Frick ate last night which is a very good omen. It's cold, dark and drizzly today, I can't wait to see Frick in sunlight.
