A Hint Of Things To Come
We finally have an answer, it looks like Shelby is a dude. You can just barely see the black neck collar starting to show up at the base of the throat. We are still a few months away from breeding season but Shelby should have a full dark black ring all the way around the neck by then. This is the most recent shot I have, from mid December. Need to get back out there and check for progress.

on April 6, 2021I saw him Easter Sunday and got a couple of shots. That neck ring is still barely visible. He (I thought he was a she) came across Sunset Bay to feed with a bunch of coots. Still an escaped exotic, or dumped by someone who had him as a pet. Nice shots by you.
