I thought this was just another snowy egret until I took a closer look. Actually it was a juvenile little blue heron. For their first year they are white and tend to hang out with snowy egrets. This lets them be protected in a group and find good fishing spots. They are hard to identify but if you get a good enough look you can see that the color of the eyes, bill and legs/feet are different. Plus there are tiny subtle bits of dark in the feathers. In this photo you can see that dark at the tip end of the feathers on the back end. Very subtle clues.
