One Sleeps, One Hunts

The white duck is sleeping peacefully while in the shadows behind it, a great blue heron is hunting. I liked the play of light and dark, sunlight and shadows. The curly tail of the white duck means it is a male. You would call it a crested duck because of the crest of feathers on the duck's head. It has its appearance because it is heterozygous for a genetic mutation causing a deformity of the skull. (Wikipedia)
