Yellow-bellied Slider

This is a new species for me. These turtles are not native to Texas so she must be an escaped or released pet now thriving in the wild at White Rock lake. With that wide yellow stripe behind her eye I knew she was something unique. Took me a few months of sightings to get a decent shot of her, she is very shy & dives into the water so you only get one chance and from a distance at that.
