I was taking shots of turtles when I spotted one with bright yellow oval markings behind its eyes. I had never seen anything like it. Asked some turtle experts and found out it was a Ouachita map turtle. Also, that it was not supposed to be found in Dallas County. The thinking was that it was a released pet that was now seemed to be thriving in the wild. There is a river cooter on its left & and a red-eared slider on its right.
