Well That Didn't Work

While the cat had its eyes closed, I tried moving to my right to see if I could get a better angle, light wise. It heard me and immediately gave me all its attention. I froze again. I was on the banks of a narrow creek. The bobcat was on the other side of the creek & several yards back.
