North American Beaver

Every evening, like clockwork, she leaves her lodge and swims up the creek. She returns in the pre-dawn hours. I tried around 6am yesterday morning but missed her. I waited yesterday evening and about 7:20 here she came. She is not shy. She is large and plump. She ignores the people on the trail on bikes, skate boards, walking dogs or in my case taking pictures. I do think she heard my camera as she swam over to my side of the creek to check me out for a moment. She was a beautiful thing and it was an honor to get to see her in her natural environment. I'll be sharing more photos of her thoughout today.
