I was taking photos of a bee in the Cottonwood park pollinator garden when the greenery started rustling. I was expecting to see an anole leap up and grab dinner, I often see them in gardens. But it was a different kind of lizard that abruptly burst out of the garden. It paused long enough for me to get a shot, then skedaddled across the sidewalk into the grass on the other side. Paused again, then ran rapidly to the tennis courts on the other side of the sidewalk. Went thru the fencing and took off down the side of the court. No clue why, there were a lot of people playing tennis at the time.
