Longlegged Fly View 1
This was a new species for me to capture and get identified. Have seen them all my life. Tiny little iridescent flies, usually either mainly green or mainly gold. This one always showed more green than gold no matter which side I was on. With wings that look like the colors of oil on water. Difficult to get them staying still long enough to get a shot. I got 2 good shots of this one on my milkweed. This one was identified as a female, the males have these really long hairs on the end of their tails.
