I visited a place at White Rock Lake where I had taken somewhat blurry photos of a barn swallow nest last year, wishing just once they would stay still for me. I got my wish, they were in the process of building this year's nest and posed beautifully. This is the male who had a wad of mud and grass for the nest. The pair seemed curious about me, not afraid and calm. Probably because there were no babies yet.
