Hawk On The Ground

I was driving by the nest tree and spotted this hawk on the ground across the street and up a bit from the nest. Pulled over and started shooting. Had to stay a long ways back in order to not scare it away. It was one of the parent red-shouldered hawks. The photos are heavily cropped. It was beautiful. I assumed it was hunting something.
