Normally these are found on the coastline.
Turns out this was the first time a Willet had been confirmed in Dallas County so it got an entry into the Texas Bird Image Archive. It flew in from behind me and landed on a mudflat in front of me. Didn't know what it was but knew it was new to me so shot a series of photos of it. Didn't realize the flurry of excitement this would produce in the birding world.
