Found my first Neotropic Cormorant. A few of these show up in the area every winter. They are smaller and have a longer tail than our normal double-crested. But main identification is done with the bill area. There is far less yellow/orange at the base of the bill and none around the eyes. Also a thin line of white around the base of the beak and almost looks like the feathers are cut away there. I have moved a photo with the head in the same position of the more usual double-crested next to this one for comparision, just click on the right arrow.
