Males do most of the courtship behaviors which includes preening the wings, ducking the head, holding and shaking twigs in the bill, and stretching the neck and displaying those plumes. This one is multitasking, displaying his plumes on one side and preening on the other. Above and to the left there are 2 egrets already paired up and in a nest.
