Finally saw my first snowy egret when I visited the White Rock Lake spillway steps. They are much smaller than Great Egrets, their bills are black where the great bill is yellow. Snowys have black legs with yellow feet while great egrets have black legs and feet. It posed nicely for me with ruffled feathers. This behavior is called rousing. I liked all 3 shots I got of this so am just calling them view 1, 2 and 3.
